San Mateo, California, March 16, 2010 – Entone, Inc., a market leader in broadband video and home connectivity solutions, announced today major expansion plans with two new executive hires for the Europe region. Bart Vanderostyne and Björn von Haartman have joined the Entone executive team and will be responsible for driving the company’s growth in Europe.
Bart Vanderostyne joins Entone as Director of Sales and Operations for EMEA. In his new position, Bart will be responsible for leading Entone’s rapidly expanding market presence in the EMEA region. Prior to joining Entone, Bart spent more than nine years with Cisco Systems where he was focused on broadband and broadcast video solutions for emerging markets. Bart is based near Ghent, Belgium.
“I am delighted to join the Entone team to help lead the company’s aggressive growth plans in Europe,” announced Bart. “Prior to joining Entone and during my short duration with the company, the market appetite for Entone’s uniquely focused products has been impressive.”
Björn von Haartman joins Entone as Director of Sales and Business Development for the Nordic and Baltic regions of Europe. Prior to joining Entone, Mr. von Haartman spent more than 20 years in IT and Telecom, including over five years with Tilgin and Amino Communications where he was most recently responsible for business development in the Nordic region. Björn is based near Stockholm, Sweden.
“I am excited to be an integral part of Entone’s expansion plans in Europe,” said Mr. von Haartman. “The market is ripe for Entone’s multi-stream and Hybrid TV products that I believe are especially well suited for the next generation of IPTV and Broadband TV deployments in Europe.”
Entone has designed a family of products specifically for the European market, including the company’s Amulet IPTV receiver and Janus media hub. Amulet is a high-performance HD settop box targeted for single TV installations. Janus takes the Amulet architecture to the next level with support for multiple simultaneous streams, numerous broadcast tuner options, and numerous home network options.
Steve McKay, Entone’s CEO, comments, “I am pleased to welcome both Bart and Bjorn to Entone. They are already well known to our customers, partners and prospects, which has allowed them to hit the ground running. Bringing multiple executives aboard to oversee our expansion in Europe is part of an aggressive growth strategy for Entone in the region this year.”
Bart and Björn, along with Steve and others from the Entone team, will be participating in the IPTV World Forum event from March 23-25 at the London Olympia conference centre.
